THE CHASE FOR THE DREAM CONTINUES!!!!
The recently crowned USAC CRA Sprint Car Series Rookie of the Year, Joel Rayborne, announces he is going racing in 2019 for Jim Blakesley Racing. The 16 year old looks to build on the momentum of 2018 and continue to chase his dreams.
"We weren't sure we would be racing in 2019," says Rayborne. "After the Ovals we stripped the car and engine to prepare for 2019 and found the engine block was cracked and I thought my sprint car dreams were done."
However, car owner Jim Blakesley searched through the parts pile and has gathered enough equipment to put Joel back in the famous #12B Don Blair Racing sprint car.
"Joel is a great kid and a reallly good driver and continuing to learn every time out," Car owner Blakesley says excitedly. "He is hard working. He is not afraid to get dirty and definitely not afraid of racing a sprint car and that showed in his first year behind the wheel of a 410. From working on the car, to helping with repairs and helping build himself an engine for 2019 the kid is the real deal and we are excited to be able to continue to help him out. Don Blair would be proud that Joel is piloting the #12B sprint car and I hope they find the funding to contest the 2019 schedule."

"We are still looking for some marketing partners and sponsors for the 2019 season," explains the High School student Rayborne. "We know we can make the first few rounds for sure so Im hoping we can find more help to do the full schedule. I'm looking to get as much seat time as possible in 360's and midgets to improve my skills so if anyone is looking for a hard working young driver please contact me."
